Treat it as a route, not a speed run

Choose several meaningful stops instead of collecting every signboard. The canyon's geology, river systems, forests and escarpment drop deserve time, and roads can be slower than a map suggests.

A famous viewpoint is still weather-dependent

God's Window and other overlooks may open into enormous Lowveld views or disappear into cloud. Keep expectations flexible and never cross barriers to manufacture a clear photograph.

Connect the escarpment with Kruger sensibly

Graskop and Hazyview make practical transition bases. Do not combine a full Panorama day with a long internal Kruger transfer and a closing gate deadline.
