Booking Protection
What’s actually in place if something goes wrong with a booking.
Cancellation policies, set per property
Every property, rental, or listing on AfriSawari carries its own cancellation policy, shown before you book. Refund amounts depend on the specific policy attached to what you’re booking and how close to check-in you cancel — there is no single, platform-wide refund percentage, because hosts set their own terms. Always check the policy on the listing itself before confirming.
Host no-shows and cancellations
If a host cancels on you, or a service isn’t delivered as booked, that’s handled differently from a guest-initiated cancellation — raise it through Support so it can be reviewed against what was actually booked and paid for.
If you disagree with an outcome
If you and a host can’t resolve something directly, or you believe a cancellation or refund decision was applied incorrectly, raise it through Support below. Unresolved cases can be escalated internally for review — there isn’t a separate, guest-facing “dispute” form today; Support is the real, current starting point for this.
Getting help
The Support team handles booking issues, payment problems, refund requests, and property or host issues directly — real tickets, tracked to resolution, not a contact form that disappears into nothing.
This page describes AfriSawari’s real, existing cancellation, refund, and dispute mechanisms — it is not an insurance product, and no reimbursement amount, timeframe, or guarantee is promised beyond what a booking’s own cancellation policy states. If a dedicated protection product (with its own terms, coverage, and pricing) is something AfriSawari decides to offer, that would be a separate, real product built on top of what’s described here — not something this page should imply already exists.
